Pancreatic cancer patients have few options; the disease is commonly found in the later stages, often after potentially effective treatments may be used. NanoKnife, the new technology under study, intended to make treatment available to patients for whom no other options existed. During the clinical trial NanoKnife was available at less than a dozen centers in the U.S. and enrolling patients was an important milestone.

Patient referrals to clinical trials at all centers experienced a substantial pace increase and the trial was soon fully enrolled.
