Hey Girlfriend!

Merry Xmas! What a super-intense day. Opened presents at home with the folks in the a.m. and -- got everything I wanted/needed and a few surprises. What was grandma thinking when she got me those burgundy flannel sheets-- "Sweet angel Luanne---always has to do an extra load o' laundry when she spills red wine in bed...tsk, tsk, this'll save her the trouble". Well, what if that's what she thought. They're perfect! Wore my new mittens today when I skied with R.S., that is, after the usual early morning X-mas X-country family traditional X-ercise with mom and dad after which I was ready to X-plode! All dad talked about was how much he hates the Clifftop project and how pissed he is that Jordan T. will make the big bucks. He begged me to write an editorial opposing Clifftop -- I mean, I love you daddy, but a reporter has to maintain her journalistic objectivity -- especially if she wants to be taken seriously -- and I seriously want to be taken seriously! Mom reminisced sadly about Doris Thorne. She got a little teary-eyed, but all I could think about was wow! a true Telluride pioneer... what a story! (Does that make me a bad person? Hope not.)

Best part of the day: Skiing with Richard. Even in the cold -- he's hot! French kissed on the lift -- right through my ski mask -- how'd he do that?

Worst part of the day: Never should have mentioned the skiing with Richard thing to mom and dad -- it really pushed some buttons!

Things to do: Thank you notes to mom & dad (computer modem), grandma Grace (sheets), Aunt Helen (ski mittens), Richard (perfume atomizer...Eau de Seduce Me!) Stop thinking about R 24/7
