Bunzy Bunworth
Hailing from his native Australia, Bunzy landed in Telluride, CO after a eripatetic journey through Europe & the Middle East between 1984 and 1986. During this 'walkabout' he worked as a mechanic (Norway), laborer (Greece), bed & breakfast manager (Austria) and on a construction site (London). And all this after having earned a Diploma of Applied Science in Prosthetics & Orthotics (artificial limbs)! He landed in NYC in June of '86 and shortly thereafter met his wife, Suzan, in Hendersonville, NC. Although planning on spending the '87-'88 season ski bumming in Telluride, Bunzy and Suzan found it so much to their liking that they decided to spend the following summer in town, and from that point onward they have called this heavenly valley home. They co-founded Historic Tours of Telluride in the summer of 1988 and the Telluride Repertory Theater Company in the Spring of 1990. Bunzy completed the Physical Theater Program at Dell'Arte in Blue Lake, CA in June of '96 and shortly thereafter finished his forthcoming feature film debut, SCRAPPLE. The role of Richard Starbuck in AVALANCHE allows Bunzy the chance to fulfill almost every modern male's fantasy. The chance to surmise the rock 'n roll lifestyle - one filled with fame, fortune and fillies. The name Telluride has become synonymous with such people and their rather extravagant antics and so it seems only fitting that our saga should be set in such a haven of hedonism. But look behind the facade - Telluride is a real community filled with real folks going about their daily lives in perhaps one of the most cosmic intersections of latitude and longitude on the planet. Enjoy the ride! |
