Daiva Chesonis Berry

as Luanne Rice

Daiva Chesonis Berry arrived in Telluride on June 3, 1992 at 11:56 am. She moved from a Pennsylvania white water rafting town to help build the now (finally) running gondola transportation system. Building chair lifts was a way to get here, but not a lifetime commitment. She found work as a graphic designer for an ad agency, moved on to her own freelance design business and is now happily employed as art director at Telluride Magazine.

"The best part about living here is I don't really need to go away on vacation - I'm already there. Besides, it'll be nice to grow old in a town that doesn't ever seem to."

Working on the AOL project was really fun because all of the talent was local. Most of the cast had already acted together through the Telluride Repertory Theatre and felt comfortable with each other from the get-go.

"The shoots were always a bit over the top. I never knew what situation I would be photographed in until Rob and Kandee showed up with their menagerie of props and wild creativity. The use of costumes, wigs and surrealism always made it entertaining."

Future plans include lots of snowboarding and climbing, exploring Egypt and Peru, putting together a kick-ass team of Telluriders for an Eco-Challenge competition, continuing to expand her international collection of giraffe carvings and reproducing at least once.

Oh yea, probably some theater here and there.
