George first came to Telluride in 1984. He was thrilled to get a job waiting tables at a northern Italian restaurant in the Old Sheridan Hotel. This allowed him to pursue his first venture into real estate during the daytime, and to financially survive during those early Telluride years. He spent three and a half years with Shaw & Company, and then four and a half years with Nevasca Realty. After that he finally formed his own real estate brokerage, Harvey and Company. "It was my desire to give a much higher level of service to my clients and customers than I was ever able to in the traditional real estate brokerage company. It was also my desire to deliver the most sophisticated and professional list of services for the clientele that was moving to Telluride and purchasing real estate. I had to combine my experience in the market with a very organized support team, in order to deliver the level of service that I knew was possible."

George's interests include Golf, Skiing, Travel, and new business ventures. George and his wife Becky have been together for over ten years in Telluride, and currently live at Sundance Condominiums. They are presently designing their home on the golf course in the Telluride Mountain Village. He and Becky are very excited about planning their dream home and looking forward to more year-round sunshine and those great views from Mountain Village.
