EPISODE 2, SCENE 3
The couple from Cleveland was ready to buy, thought Kelly, as she sat across from them in the Clifftop sales office. She'd pitched the timeshare program, the tax benefits, the opportunity of getting in at pre-construction prices, the list of prominent Hollywood people already signed up. Still, the Cleveland couple hedged.

"What happens if you have a medical emergency in the middle of the night?" asked the Woman. "You're stuck up on the mountain."

"If it's really serious you'd be evacuated by helicopter," answered Kelly, trying to suggest nothing like that could ever happen. "But the gondola runs around the clock."

The Man from Cleveland shook his head. "I don't know about this timeshare thing. I don't wanta be told I can't come any time I want to." Kelly nodded in support of his concern.

"There are only two or three time periods, such as the Christmas and Easter holidays, when you'd need to reserve in advance, just like buying an airline ticket," she assured him. The couple from Cleveland fell silent, studying the brochures. Kelly watched them. She was wrong, they weren't ready yet.

Finally, the Man stood. "We'll sleep on it, Kelly," said the Man. "Get back to you in the morning."

"Fine, I'll be in at ten," Kelly said, escorting them to the door. Once they were gone, Kelly's smile dropped. Another dry hole. The timeshares weren't selling according to schedule. She didn't want to be the one to tell Jordan the bad news.
