A Remarkable Town With Remarkable Talent Stephen Pedroff, Avalanche Executive Producer The story of Telluride is much more than incredible mountains and world class skiing. The real story of Telluride is the story of the people who live and work here. Every skier has fantasies about spending an entire season in a resort. A fortunate few make the necessary sacrifices, and they reap the rewards of seeing their dream come true. If there are a million stories in the Big City, there are at least a thousand stories in Telluride. I have to admit that I was concerned that in a town of just 1300 permanent residents it might be difficult to find the required talent to complete Avalanche. Fortunately, my fears were groundless. Everyone in Telluride is talented! From the construction worker who is a concert pianist, to the former model turned ski instructor, to the beauty queen real-estate agent, every person in town has something to offer. The following profiles were written by the cast members themselves. Each profile is a look behind the scenes at just one of the people who helps to make the town of Telluride 'ground-zero of hip ski culture'.
